Environmental Statement

Timber
All timber used in the manufacture of our products is sourced from either Sustainable Forests or Native Pine Plantations - both managed by the Australian Government Departments of Primary Industries. Please refer to www.dpi.qld.gov.au/forestry.

We select our timber suppliers on the basis of whether they have a system for Chain of Custody in place. Please refer to www.forestrystandard.org.au/3manufacturer.asp.

We elect not to use imported timbers unless sources are guaranteed to be sustainable by having at least FSC Certification. Please refer to www.fsc.org.

Our timber off-cuts are recycled wherever economically possible into usable dimensions by processes known as finger-jointing or laminating.

Our products are designed to last for many decades but eventually timber is re-usable and of course is ultimately 100% biodegradable.

Our preferred timber preservation process uses LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative) Please refer to www.tpaa.com.au/losp.htm.

 		  

Steel and Aluminium
All Steel and Aluminium used in our products is 100% recyclable.

Landmark Manufacturing
Our processes are fully enclosed within our purpose built facility. Both office and factory waste is either recycled or stored and disposed of in accordance with EPA Guidelines by approved contractors. We purchase Greenpower for our electricity needs where available. Please refer to www.greenpower.gov.au.

We use a combination of natural light and modern low energy lighting in our factory and offices. We are connected to the Local Government Recycled Water Supply System.

Landmark Installations
All installations are conducted in accordance with an independently certifiable Environmental Management Plan which is available upon request.
