All Landmark timber components are selected for their long term suitability for outdoor use. Our timber structures are manufactured from LOSP treated select hoop pine as standard. Select hardwood timber is available as an optional extra on all Landmark standard products.

  • Premium quality machined plantation Hoop Pine.
  • Treated & stabilised with safe LOSP preservative.
  • LOSP treated to hazard level 3.
  • Factory stained in oil-based stain.

Ammoniacal Copper Quaternary is a more recent addition to the Australian preserved timber market. It is vaunted for its greater safety of storage and application than CCA, yet with similar performance ability. Ammoniacal Copper Quaternary (Type B) wood preservative is formulated with copper oxide and the Quaternary Ammonium compound, didecyldimethyl-ammoniumchloride.

Light Organic Solvent Preservatives are used for structures subject to moist environments where timber is likely to experience fungal decay. It is recommended that all treated timber is painted or stained. LOSP treated timber can be painted once the treatment has dried. The treatment is not corrosive to metals. LOSP is suitable for applications such as joinery, where dimensional-stability is important.

Timber components can be supplied in a water based paint finish as an optional extra. We apply two coats of quality Wattyl in our factory prior to despatch. Due to the likelihood of there being some damage during transport and installation we supply a small quantity of paint for touch up on site. You can check out the range of colours available here. Alternative paint finishes are available subject to pricing.

All timber components are factory stained with our Landmark Timbertone oil based timber stain as standard. Stained timber components are also available in the following range of colours on request, subject extended delivery times.

Landmark Timbertone (standard) Landmark Brown (optional)
Floorclear (optional) Pacific Blue (optional)

A quality two pack epoxy paint system is available in a wide range of colours for steelwork used in corrosive marine environments.

All steel components are hot dip galvanised in accordance with Australian Standard AS1650 as standard. Hot dip galvanising is done after fabrication to ensure maximum durability and long life protection. The nature of the galvanising process leads to small bubbles in the galvanised surface .

Powder coated hot-dipped galvanised steel is considered an unsuitable finish for highly corrosive marine environments. In these environments we strongly recommend the use of timber (either hoop pine or hardwood) and stainless steel materials and components. If this is not possible all hot-dipped galvanised steel surfaces should at least be finished with a high quality two pack epoxy paint system.

For hot-dipped galvanised, powder coated and painted finishes both the appearance and lifespan of the finished metal surfaces will be greatly enhanced by periodic washing of all surfaces to prevent the build-up of corrosive agents. Particular attention should be paid to those areas under the roof line which are not subject to natural washing by wind-blown rain.

Hot dip galvanized and Powder-coated RHS, SHS or CHS steel (with curved aluminium braces on most designs) all with a powder coat finish. Optional 2 pack epoxy painted in lieu of powder-coat as appropriate for the atmospheric conditions. colours - anything from the Dulux Powder Coat range. Steel wall frames are galvanised channel.

Because of the difficulty in assessing accurately the corrosion potential of sites adjacent to marine environments, we strongly recommend that any steel structure within 1 km of marine environments be two pack epoxy painted and subjected to a rigorous maintenance schedule. Failure to do this in highly corrosive marine environments may void the Landmark Products Ltd Structural Integrity Warranty.

  • All steel components are available in a plain galvanised finish with no additional paint coatings.
  • Steel wall frames are manufactured from galvanised roll-formed sections. Welded joints are touched up with a zinc rich paint treatment.
